  1. ALUMATES is a community app where courteous, respectful and tolerant discussions are expected. Our visitors live all around the world, in every populated continent; it is to be expected that in such an international, multicultural forum, there will be differences of opinion and varying communication styles. In order to maintain a welcoming, inclusive community, ALUMATES will not tolerate flames, insults, discriminatory or exclusive behaviour, harassment or bullying of any kind; personal attacks will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to deny posting rights to users who behave in a manner that is offensive, aggressive or discriminatory.

 

  1. ALUMATES is not a platform for spam. ALUMATES reserves the right to deny posting rights to those who abuse their access to our free forum by using it as a platform to attempt spam marketing.

 

  1. Do not link to or post materials that are obscene or offensive. The ALUMATES app is designed for use by students and alumni of different schools from all around the world, and it's important to us that the content stays clean and inoffensive by a broad, global standard. ALUMATES reserves the right to deny posting rights to those who post or link to offensive content.

 

  1. ALUMATES and its employees, officers, directors, and affiliated companies are not to be held legally responsible for any claim or demand arising from any material which users contribute to our communities.

 

  1. We will do our best to monitor the forum; however it is a free service we're providing that we hope will thrive as a positive, helpful community. Due to the limitations of time and resources available for moderation, we reserve the right to remove content and remove posting rights from individuals at any point and without prior notification. Any content that is determined by ALUMATES to be inappropriate, offensive, and distasteful or outside of the context of the discussion categories and subcategories will be removed without warning or explanation. We will not involve ourselves in or mediate disputes between users; if such conflicts arise, the response is likely to involve removal of posting rights and content.

 

  1. ALUMATES Ltd reserves the right to use any content submitted through our networks by forum users. By participating in the forum, the user agrees to give consent for the content to be published, printed or distributed; these rights are common on most public message boards and chat rooms. All content on ALUMATES is the property of ALUMATES Ltd.

ALUMATES USER

 

  1. In order to become an ALUMATES User, you must provide us the following information to create an account: first name, last name, email address and password. Without this minimal amount of information, you cannot create an account. ALUMATES may request other information from you during the account creation process, (e.g., gender, location, etc.) that ALUMATES uses to provide better, more customized marketing services such as updates, better ads, and more valuable information. You acknowledge that this information is personal to you, and by creating an account on our websites; you allow ALUMATES and selected third parties, to identify you and to allow to use your information in accordance with our User Agreement.

Like most applications, we use cookies and web log files to track site usage and trends, to improve the quality of our service, to customize your experience on our Websites and Services, as well as to deliver ALUMATES and third-party advertising to Site Users and ALUMATES Users both on and off our Websites and Services. ALUMATES does not provide personally identifiable information to any third party ad network.

You may amend your information by logging onto the App or Service and accessing your user profile. You may delete your account either by logging onto the App or Service and accessing your user profile or you may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting support@Alumates Blog. We will respond to your request within 30 days. Please note, however, that we may retain some anonymised information for site statistics and internal use and that information you have shared with others, or that other ALUMATES Users have copied, may also remain visible even if you request its deletion.

  1. ALUMATES will retain your information for so long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our Services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce this Agreement.

By providing information to ALUMATES for the purposes of becoming a User, creating your ALUMATES User account or adding any additional details to your ALUMATES User profile, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and ALUMATES’ User Agreement that allow ALUMATES to process information about you.

 

  1. Supplying information to ALUMATES, including any information deemed “sensitive” by applicable law, is entirely voluntary on your part. You have the right to withdraw your consent to ALUMATES’ collection and processing of your information at any time, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement, by changing your Settings, or by closing your account, but please note that your withdrawal of consent will not be retroactive.

  1. As an ALUMATES User, you have certain obligations to other ALUMATES Users. Some of these obligations are imposed by applicable law and regulations, and others have become commonplace in user-friendly communities of like-minded members such as ALUMATES:
